Go Green: Professional folding tents as the sustainable solution

Celebrate and advertise sustainably – with durable and long-lasting folding tents from Pro-Tent

Living sustainably as well as manufacturing products responsibly are not only trends, but a necessity against the backdrop of increasing global environmental pollution. Products that are produced sustainably and responsibly may seem expensive at first glance. But they usually offer added value that really pays off years after the purchase. This means that in the long run, high-quality purchases save money in many cases, but above all they avoid creating waste. That is why Pro-Tent is dedicated to manufacturinghigh-quality folding tents that last for many years with the right care – Swiss premium products that are particularly sustainable and good for the environment thanks to their quality.

Cheap products do not even last for one summer

Cheap folding tents and imitations from China are mass-produced and the manufacturers usually save on materials. This explains the low price. The consequence: Many cheap products last only or not even one summer long, because the quality is poor, especially when the tent is used frequently. So if you buy cheap goods, you risk having to buy a new product soon. This creates unnecessary and avoidable waste – and possibly over and over again for years. The precarious working conditions of the people who have to manufacture these products is another serious factor.

Lack of spare parts makes the problem even worse

Often spare parts are also not available for cheap articles. So if a part of the folding tent breaks, the whole tent has to be thrown away. Pro-Tent has a different, sustainable policy on this point as well: Thanks to planned predetermined breaking points as well as being able to buy spare parts even years after the purchase, the durability of each tent is increased and waste is avoided. This is good for the environment - and for our customers' wallets.

High-quality, long-life materials

We manufacture our folding tent frames from aluminium. Unlike steel, it doesn’t rust. We also apply a high-quality anodisation process, which also makes our profiles particularly stable, robust and scratch-resistant. Anodised aluminium has a very long service life and this can be extended by applying good care to the products. In addition, aluminium is 100 per cent recyclable once its use phase has ended.

Pro-Tent also makes side walls and roofs from tear-resistant polyester fabric with a PU coating on one side, which can be cleaned and used again and again even after heavy soiling. Pro-Tent deliberately uses PU instead of PVC, as this coating option is more environmentally friendly.

What else do we do to protect the climate?

Environmental protection is not just abouty preventing waste. What is more important is how a company behaves overall. At Pro-Tent, environmental protection is integrated into every process. Already when developing new products we take into account how they can be manufactured in the most resource-saving way possible, of course without neglecting the quality of our products. Today the most modern measuring and testing methods are used in this process. Accordingly, our products have a very good carbon footprint in comparison. We also always try to keep transport routes as short and efficient as possible.

We also assume social responsibility. We apply the highest standards in our own production and manufacturing facilities in Europe and Switzerland. We know our suppliers personally and also check the situation on site at regular intervals.
