Pro-Tent is a Gold Partner of the engineering event
Engineering excellence: At the European Hyperloop Week in Zurich in July 2024, many dedicated teams demonstrated their approaches to what the future of mobility with transport capsules could look like. Our Pro-Tent folding tents were there for the event. Because where engineers unleash their full potential, our own showpiece of Swiss engineering is of course a must. We supported the promising event as a Gold Partner and, of course, also attended it.
What is the European Hyperloop Week?
The European Hyperloop Week is an annual event dedicated entirely to Hyperloop technology - a promising form of transport for the future. During the event, student teams present their prototypes to a jury, which presents awards in various categories and selects an overall winner.
This year's European Hyperloop Week took place from 15 July to 21 July 2024 in Zurich. In cooperation with the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology in Zurich (ETH Zurich), more than 25 teams entered the race, with the coveted main prize "Complete System Award Winner" going to the UPV HYPERLOOP team, just ahead of MU-ZERO HYPERLOOP and SWISSLOOP.
Hyperloop technology explained simply
Hyperloop is a modern form of transport technology that could replace short and medium-haul flights in the long term. It involves vacuum transport. In this type of high-speed travel, small capsules, known as pods, travel in a largely airless tube in magnetic fields. This enables fast, energy-efficient and CO2-neutral travelling.
The concept was presented by Elon Musk back in 2013. Since then, engineers around the world have been working on ways to turn this vision into reality. The common goal: to offer a fast, comfortable and sustainable alternative for travelling.

As a Gold Partner, we used our folding tents to ensure that prototypes, teams and visitors had a sheltered place to engage in lively dialogue.
We continue to be impressed by the strong performances of the teams and the technical developments - and of course congratulate the winning teams on their respective successes. It really was an all-round successful event!
